The Back Nine
Prince William & Manassas, Virginia is considered one of the hottest golf destinations in the country, with 12 pristine courses. Play along the shores of the scenic Occoquan River, challenge yourself at our Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course or let the Bull Run Mountains and our historic sites serve as the backdrop. DAY ONE: Challenge yourself at our Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, Potomac Shores. Opening in the spring of 2014, this course has full service practice facilities including multiple tee levels, a putting green and practice bunker. Located alongside the banks of the Potomac River, you can relax in The Old Virginian Clubhouse after your round or you can tee off at the Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge. The par-72, 7077-yard course has gently rolling terrain accented by pine, oak, maple and hickory trees. Finish your day with a Potomac Nationals game. Or head out to dinner and drinks at Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant & Crabhouse. Situated along the Potomac River, the restaurant is famous for its home-cooked seafood and dining atmosphere. Enjoy your meal indoors or outside at the torch-lit tiki bar.
DAY TWO: Tee off at Stonewall Jackson Golf Club where you will have stunning views of Lake Manassas and the Bull Run Mountains. This Tom-Jackson designed course features multiple sets of tees to challenge all golf levels. After, head to lunch in the 18th century styled Brass Cannon Restaurant or you can visit Bull Run Golf Club, which has received numerous accolades for its stunning course. Bull Run spans 450 acres and meanders through scenic meadows, ponds and woodlands. After your game, travel to Winery at La Grange in Haymarket for a wine tasting. Sip on Virginia wines and enjoy the scenic view of the mountains. For dinner visit BJ’s Brewhouse in Gainesville for a selection of deep dish pizzas and a wide variety of great beers.
